Geotechmin OOD is one of the few Bulgarian companies listed in the Central Register of Professional Builders to the Bulgarian Construction Chamber for all five building categories, namely 1) high-rise construction structures, electronic communication network and installations; 2) structures of the transport infrastructure; 3) structures of the power infrastructure; 4) structures of the public utility infrastructure, hydro-technical construction and environmental protection ; 5) various construction and assembly works specified in the National Classification of Economic Activities (NCEA).
Geotechmin is a member of the following Bulgarian organizations: Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology, Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIBG), Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (BCCI), Bulgarian Chamber of Construction Developers, Srednogorie Med Industrial Cluster (SMIC), Greek-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GBCCI), Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BRCCI), National Tourism Board, National Hospitality Management Club. The foreign organizations of which the company is a member include the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA-AITES), the International Organizing Committee of the World Mining Congress (IOC/WMC) and the Belarus EU Business Council.
Since accession of Bulgaria to the European Union, Geotechmin OOD has realized the necessity to adopt new managerial practices, and to improve its quality management system. In August 2008, the company started developing an integrated management system (IMS) which encompasses the standards ISO 9001:2000 (quality), ISO 14001:2004 (environment) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (occupational health and safety). This IMS was successfully completed and officially introduced in May 2009. Geotechmin believes that the implementation of the system will lead to more effective management of all company processes.
