The Vineyards
In order to produce high quality wine, we put a lot of attention on planting and cultivating of our own vineyards.
Chateau du Soleil owns ca. 140 hectares of vineyards. About 60 percent are planted with grapes for red wine: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Barbera, Cabernet Franc, San Giovese. The rest is planted with grapes for white and sparkling wines: Chardonnet, Muscat, Prosecco, Traminer, Misket, Sauvignon Blanc, Dimiat
The Winery
About 80 percent of the grape processed in our winery is from our own vineyards. The rest comes from neighbour regions with similar quality and taste of the grape.
After the renovation in 2002 we process the grape with state of the art technologies/ machines.
The winery has capacity of 3000 tons of wine. Every year we process around 2500 tons of grape.
Our wines age in oak barrels and also in stainless steel tanks. High quality red wines age in barrique barrels.
We have bottling lines for: 0.187, 0.375, 0.750 and 1.5 l. We can also offer „Bag-In-Box“ solutions for our client needs. |
