Antranik Shavarsh Arabadjyan, known as Mr Astor, is Bulgaria's most famous illusionist. He was born on November 18, 1943 in Shumen, Bulgaria. Astor is professional illusionist since 1963. Astor is the only European to be honored with "Oscar" award for magic art (Pittsburgh, USA, 1981). The trick that won him the "Oscar" was one in which he turns a newspaper into a drink. Another one from his most famous tricks is the one in which he takes his head off and holds it in his hands. During the 1990s he works in Las Vegas and Hollywood. Astor is the founder of the Illusionists' Club in Bulgaria (1975). Mr Astor received the title "Mr" in Norway 1978. He is a laureate for 13 of the world and Europe's most notable magic competitions. Mr Astor is the president of the Union of the Illusionists in Bulgaria and the owner of the only Magic Theatre in the country, found in 1996.
