Lettera is one of the most renowned publishers in Bulgaria, founded in 1991 by Mrs Nadya Furnadzhieva. It currently employs a staff of 30 people on a full-time basis and over 200 contributors on a free-lance basis. Over 300 titles are featured in Lettera catalogue, about 40 new books are released per year. Besides the head office and the company bookshop in Plovdiv, the publishing house has an information centre with a bookshop in Sofia and a digital printing house for small print runs in Plovdiv.
Lettera covers the following major subject areas: luxury editions and books about the cultural and historical heritage of Bulgaria in English, German, French, Spanish, Russian and Bulgarian, fiction by famous Bulgarian and foreign writers, language learning systems, textbooks and supplementary materials and teaching aids, dictionaries, reference books, popular science series for young-adults, bi-lingual commentary editions of European literary classics, reference books in history, music and architecture, books for children. |
