The voting stations abroad for Bulgaria's nuclear referendum on Sunday to see the highest turnout were those in London and Brussels, with 424 votes cast in each, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry.

A total of 20 of Bulgaria's voting stations abroad ended their electing day as of 8 pm EET on Sunday, in addition to another 17 stations, that had completed the voting earlier. A total of 2 625 Bulgarians cast their votes in the 20 stations in question.

A total of 327 Bulgarian citizens voted in the polling station in Vienna, 248 in Berlin, 231 in Paris, 224 in Madrid. Zagreb saw the lowest turnout, with only 22 votes.

136 Bulgarians voted in Moscow, 45 in St. Petersburg, 30 in Baku, 45 in Dubai, and 44 in Kuwait.

As of Sunday night EET, the voting continued at 7 more stations – in Buenos Ayres, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Ottawa.

A little over 20% of the eligible voters in Bulgaria cast their vote in Sunday's referendum on the construction of a second nuclear power plant in Bulgaria; of those, 61% voted "yes", and 39% voted "no". Even though the turnout is not sufficient to make the result of the referendum binding, it is still enough to take the question to the Bulgarian Parliament.
