On a constituent assembly on 30 of January 2003 six companies of Information Technology area – ACSIOR, NDB, NOAC, Bulgarian Internet Group, Biotronica and Linux Business Solutions established an association – “Alternative Business Open Source Solutions – ABOSS”.

The founders believe in free market choice and free fair competition as an absolutely necessity for customer satisfaction and market development. The founders announced absolutely against any form of monopolization in information technology area and they use above mentioned principles as basis of their business. Key element in relations with customers is possibility of choice, for alternatives. The association helps development and improvement of alternative software such as development of open source software and experts training. ABOSS represent and defend interests of the association at relations with public administration, private institutions, mass media and foreign government organizations.
