GREAT Mega Mission is a 4-day initiative that started in Bucharest on 9 and 10 March 2015 and continued to Sofia on 11 and 12 March 2015. It is the largest visit of its kind to Bulgaria and Romania and is part of UK Trade and Investment’s (UKTI) efforts to double UK trade with Central and Eastern Europe by 2020. The comprehensive trade delegation has included around 50 British companies operating in 4 important sectors: nuclear, oil and gas, mass transport and water and environment. During the stay in Sofia, the British companies have met representatives from the Government, local trade associations, major local partners and experts from each of the four priority sectors. The programme has also included one-to-one meetings between British and Bulgarian companies to provide a platform to explore market opportunities in more depth.
