The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works paid off the amount of BGN 208 mln out of a total of BGN 285 mln which it owes to construction companies for assigned and carried out activities last year. “Out of the remaining BGN 77 mln, about BGN 24 mln are designated for the water mirror in the town of Kardzhali,” said Regional Minister Rosen Plevneliev for the BTV channel yesterday. He explained that the money for the site in Kardzhali will not be paid until the Prosecutor’s Office completes its inspection. “Regarding the remaining BGN 50 mln in liabilities, I want to ask construction companies to submit their applications for the money due because the deadline expires at the end of September," added Plevneliev.

The contract for the last section of the Trakia highway - from the town of Yambol to the town of Karnobat will be signed today. The Trakia IV association, which offered to build the nearly 48-km section for BGN 174.5 mln, VAT excluded, was selected as contactor of the section. Plevneliev was explicit that the construction of the highway at Stara Zagora has never stopped and will not stop.
Plevneliev stated that a working group of experts has been established at the Ministry in charge of summarising the proposals for amendments to the Law on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast Spatial Planning .
