“I have the assurance of our partners that the construction of the Greece-Bulgaria interconnector will be financed with money under the EU funds and programmes. The forecasted price of the project, according to initial calculations, is around EUR 220 million,” Bulgarian Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova said speaking with journalists after the sitting of the general commission on economy, infrastructure and energy of the Parliamentary Assembly of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), held at the National Assembly, FOCUS News Agency reporter said.
“We will file an application to the European Commission (EC) and I hope that things will develop well. The price of the projects that Bulgaria applies for amounts at around EUR 1.4 billion.
We have sent the projects and we are now waiting for EC’s decision,” the minister remarked.
