Sofia. Bulgaria’s direct investments abroad amounted to EUR 162 million in 2014 and EUR 1.8 billion for the past 10 years, Investor.bg estimated based on Bulgarian National Bank’s data, Standart daily reads.
Bulgarian investments abroad were 10.4% less in 2014 compared to 2013 and 3 times less than the peak of Bulgarian investments abroad in 2008. The volume of Bulgarian investments abroad is a few times smaller than the capital flows entering Bulgaria. Foreign direct investments (FDI) in Bulgaria in 2014 amounted to EUR 1.289 billion. They amounted to EUR 36.514 billion between 2004 and 2014.
