Bulgaria has registered a 0.0% monthly inflation rate in July 2011, according to the National Statistical Institute (NSI).
The consumer price index (CPI) in July 2011 compared to June 2011 was 100.0%.
The inflation rate since the beginning of the year (July 2011 compared to December 2010) was 1.8% and the annual inflation in July 2011 compared to July 2010 was 4.4%.
The annual average inflation, measured by CPI, in the last 12 months (August 2010 - July 2011) compared to the previous 12 months (August 2009 - July 2010) was 4.4%.
In July 2011, the most substantial monthly increase was registered in the "recreation and culture" segment, where prices went up by 2.2%.
Price decreases were registered in the following consumer groups: "food and non-alcoholic beverages" (0.9%), "alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.3%). and "clothing and footwear group (0.8%).
The biggest increase was recorded in prices of complex recreation and tourism services (15.2%).
July 2011 also saw increases in electricity prices (2.1%), hot water prices (4.3%), liquid fuels for domestic use (3.1%) and centralized gas supply (3.3%).
The harmonized index of consumer prices HICP) in July 2011 compared to June 2011 was 100.4%, i.e. the monthly inflation amounted to 0.4%.
The inflation rate since the beginning of the year (July 2011 compared to December 2010) was 1.5% and the annual inflation in July 2011 compared to July 2010 was 3.4%.
The price index of a small basket (PISB) in July 2011 compared to June 2011 was 99.9% and the overall increase since the beginning of the year (July 2011 compared to December 2010) was 102.4%.
